TubeMeister 18 Combo
The Next Big Hughes & Kettner,

For TubeMeister, Mr. Hughes and Herr Kettner packed all their know-how and over a quarter of a century‘s passion for tube amps into a remarkably compact chassis. Thanks to German engineering, it can go from a roar to a whisper, shaking the boards on stage, tingling spines in the studio, and raising goose-bumps in the still
of night - even during silent recording.

Serving up three different sounds at the touch of a footswitch, the soulful Tube-Meister 18 is the go-to guitar amp for gigging. Its four-step power soak brings
the sound of the big stage into small clubs and your own four walls. And courtesy of the built-in Red Box and silent recording capability, you can lay down pro-quality
tracks at any time day or night.

The TubeMeister 18 Combo offers all the tasty features of the Head plus the shimmer and shine of a digital spring reverb. The Celestion 10˝ speaker was customdesigned
specifically for the TubeMeister. Housed in a sophisticated Thiele-Small enclosure, it conjures a far bigger sound than anything one might expect from a combo.

The next BIG Hughes & Kettner

Hughes & Kettner presents the TubeMeister series

Hughes & Kettner is set to unveil a new line of ultra compact all-tube amps called TubeMeister. As their stunning visuals and stellar sound attest, these dual-channel amps share the same DNA as the acclaimed Custom Tube series.

The line’s lead product is the TubeMeister 18" Head, which may be paired with a matching cabinet (1x12” Celestion). The Combo version (1x10" Celestion) also features reverb.

Product manager Rüdiger Forse notes, “The idea for the TubeMeister came from our Custom Tube endorsers. They kept asking us to develop a gig-ready tube amp that would let them rock the stage, practice at home, and record silently in hotel rooms while on the road. They also wanted it to be as easy to tote as a guitar."

On stage, TubeMeister is loud and assertive. Its handling is equally stage-worthy: The two independent channels may be accessed remotely via footswitch. Lead Boost, which is also footswitchable, kicks up the gain for leads. The ultra-reliable, maintenance-free TSC power amp, combined with oversized transformers, pumps out plenty of power.

In the studio, TubeMeister delivers the goods with its four-stage power-soak and the prize-winning Hughes & Kettner Red Box. They serve up the signal replete with power tube saturation, which makes for a tasty tonal treat for all playing and recording scenarios – best of all, at every volume.

The TubeMeister series will hit music stores in June 2011.

Key features
•  Two footswitchable independent channels, each with dedicated Gain and Master
•  Footswitchable Lead Boost
•  Passive 3-band voicing section
•  2 x 12AX7 preamp tubes, 2 x EL84 power tubes
•  Oversized transformers
•  Maintenance-free TSC power amp featuring auto-biasing and tube rating indicator
•  Serial FX loop
•  18/5/1/0-watt power-soak with silent recording function
•  Built-in Red Box providing line level via XLR DI Out

Hughes & Kettner just had a great Frankfurt Messe!

We launched our all new Tubemeister tube amp series to scenes of great excitement and surprise that such a petite amp could deliver such a huge range of sounds and features. The Tubemeister 18 Head and cabs were demonstrated almost every hour of the day on our sound booth in Halle 4:1 by both Thomas Blug and Geoff Whitehorn, two gresat guitarists.. We also had Jeff Waters of Annihilator fame demonstrating the Coreblade Head and matching 412 cabinet twice daily. If you were not lucky enough to be there to see all of this, the photographs below give you some idea of just how exciting the whole fair was for Hughes & Kettner. A great time was had by all!  Go check out our amps at your local store. you won't be disappointed!

Rush Time Maschine enters Europe

Ten months into their Time Machine Tour, RUSH finally arrives in Europe, landing first in Dublin, home of all things Gaelic, especially the black stuff!

We got down to the O2 Arena mid afternoon and met up with Alex just before soundcheck, and later we got the chance to interview him and present him with our newest Hughes & Kettner amp, the TubeMeister

RUSH is so happy to be back in Europe again.  Here are just a few first impressions of the Dublin O2 Arena concert.

If you have any chance, go see RUSH during the next few weeks and discover just exactly why Alex loves playing Hughes & Kettner amps so much.

Hughes & Kettner signs a very gifted young UK guitarist - Harry Greene

Harry Greene is a phenomenal 14 year old guitarist, hailing from a small village in sleepy Suffolk in the UK.

We first  discovered him two years ago playing alongside Robbie Gladwell (one of our somewhat older endorsees!) at a summer music festival hosted by Robbie for young players. Harry instantly stood out as the star of the show, playing blues guitar like a veteran at the tender age of 12!

We have followed his progress ever since then, and recently introduced Harry to the Tubemeister 18 combo. For Harry it was love at first sight!  Just follow this link to see Harry at home with his Tubemeister just after it was delivered to him. He can say it better than we can!

  Harry Greene TubeMeister 18 Combo

We wish Harry every success with his burgeoning career as a guitarist.  And as if that was not enough, Harry is also an accomplished saxophone player, and has already played both guitar and sax in festivals in the UK and Europe. Long may it continue.

We regard Harry as an important new addition to our endorsement roster. He represents the new breed of astonishing young English guitarists, all looking for that ever smaller amp to get that ever bigger tone.

Tubemeister does it!

Welcome to Hughes & Kettner Harry!
